Dreams

Coast Tower Defense

I haven’t written about a dream in a while and I want to take the time to think them through instead of trying to pump out the article in less than three hours after I wake up from that particular dream.

Even if I only remember little tidbits and let my imagination do the rest, I still would rather have these to be well thought out.

I slept quite well last night for not doing any reading or meditation before lights out. Then I just drifted off so quickly I don’t recall how long it took, and for once I did not have to wake up to use the bathroom!

I want to say I had some control over this dream and then times when I did not. Taking on my usual form, I was tasked with guarding these reactor cores that were located on a beach at night. On my way there, I could have sworn I was inside my car and giving it a voice command to self-drive. I said “Motorizer, take that exit and then park over there,” one of these days self-driving vehicles will come, but that will probably be Motorizor version 5.0 or beyond!

It’s like being in one of those survival games where you have to defend your position and keep an eye on multiple targets. The beach was dark and each tower was well equipped with protecting walls to guard each core. I had this urge to go swimming but these giant waves kept pushing me back. As with any dream that has a coast where there’s no land in sight on the horizon, I wish I could just fly across it over the water and see what’s out there.

The most I can remember from this dream is the third core was a little further down the beach and as I approached my mind was saying things like, I hope that it stays quiet and eerie to build up the suspense of what sort of monster I have to fend off but instead there was so much static noise and weird lighting, so I guess I didn’t have full control of everything in this dream after all. I woke up before I could even see what was lurking there and ended up sleeping lightly through everyone else’s morning routines downstairs since today is my day off.

It was really unusual though and it certainly wasn’t like those tower defense games I used to play.
