Winter Vibes, What’s This, What’s This?

It’s been a while since I shared an update on what I’ve been up to in the valley. At first, I thought about skipping it until the next one that should be out any day but it couldn’t hurt to share something quick.

The last winter update was when this game left early access and introduced several brand-new features and an expansion.

There is also new multiplayer which I haven’t really tried but I was eager to bring in Jack Skellington to the valley because I am now obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas after watching it last Halloween.

Can you believe I have not seen it until now? Well, you gotta start somewhere. I also got Sally’s dress from the premium shop and made my hair redder just before going to the DLC content.

Jack is as enthusiastic as ever and wants to find a way to create his own holiday in the valley which I love.

I have already completed the first act of that DLC in less than a month. The pedestal just flew out of the sky and I was contacted by Jafar that he needed my help. I was guided by him as well as Rapunzel, EVE, and a reluctant Gaston too.

Gaston really loves to get too close for a picture! His questline also opens up a meat stall from a freezer that basically creates synthetic meat without killing animals. Logically speaking I’d say.

Meanwhile, Rapunzel and EVE’s quests are fun like the time I had to take pictures of various places for the latter and then Scrooge photobombed! Never a dull moment I tell ya.

Rapunzel also got me to craft a special bracelet for Mother Gothel to retain her youth so that the former would no longer have to sing with her hair’s magic and I liked that as well.

So, once I got both jewels and was able to reach the palace, Jafar revealed his true intentions, in person, before locking himself in the palace. More on that in my official review of the DLC that I will hopefully be able to publish this summer.

So while I wait, I strongly suspect that the trapdoor on the other side will allow me to enter someday!

Also, I have designed some more clothes in this game as I find the tool much easier to use compared to Animal Crossing.

Here is my favourite so far, a Jafar dress, because yes I finally realized that I have a soft spot for him. ❤️ I am proud of this one. I really hope that after I foil his scheme (which won’t be until the summer update), he becomes be-friend-able and his rewards are good. Like what would be cool is two outfits resembling his own: a dress and a jumpsuit. A back accessory resembling his staff like Bo Peep’s cane that we can get at Scrooge’s store. I wouldn’t want it in just a motif because I was disappointed to only get that of the trident from Ursula’s rewards. Maybe he could also have a quest that unlocks Iago as a companion because we haven’t seen something like that since Moana’s quests with Pua.

That could also be added to Rapunzel with Pascal you know.

Anyway, maybe I should make a Frollo dress next because I’m starting to get the hang of this design feature.

I’m trying to get better at the new Scramblecoin minigame. I swear I keep losing to characters that have pieces of Anna, EVE, Cinderella, or all three.

I’ve also collected all the critters the past month and the grind was stressful at times, like with the rarer ones. I’m looking at you white squirrel and red fox. Scratch that, the red fox was a nuisance, took me five weeks to unlock. I inadvertently woke up at 3am sometimes just to feed it.

The monkeys on the other hand would sometimes glitch out, especially if they appeared in the ruins but I eventually got them all. Earlier on I was just going with the flow and had already got all the rabbits and sea turtles before deciding to pursue the rest.

Sometimes I look at my inventory of critters and have no clue where they came from like the magical squirrel and the scary one. Oh, and this rainbow fox here is obtained through a hidden quest so here is the link if you want to acquire it yourself. I thought it was a limited-time event but I stand corrected.

The Star Path was pretty good. I love the new gray fluffy dress and alternate outfits for Belle and Ariel. I just wish tasks weren’t so tedious!

What’s next for me? Well pretty soon, no release date yet, the next update will open a Monsters Inc. realm so that means it’ll be time to welcome Sulley and Mike!
