Dreams

Wandering Bride

Just when I finished writing my last dream, my brain decided to give me another!

I’m not going to share the first half because it was very disturbing and upsetting so I’ll keep it brief.

I was walking through a shop and then a city wearing a long red and white outfit similar to the one from the last dream except my veil was in front of me. I was headed for the palace, it was like the day I had been fitted for my outfit as Sun-Queen and was going to show the look to Avad for the first time.

Vanasha offered to help me down the steps from the tower and I only wanted to take help from her. Even though she was still a spy, she still kept her job as a handmaid to Nasadi and now that I was married to Avad, she had become my handmaid as well. Thankfully my clothes were easy to put on myself (unlike some for the lady in the book I’m currently reading!) but Vanasha wanted to ensure the veil wouldn’t get caught on anything, I was wearing in front which I had not done since the wedding. But it was a beautiful day and Avad had woken up before me so I decided to give him something to brighten his day more.

I told Vanasha that I could walk to the throne the rest of the way myself and she nodded smiling and it was a beautiful breezy day in Meridian, my veil swayed with the wind and the guards stood at attention as I walked past them. Avad was not sitting at the throne yet which we now shared, but in a shaded spot dining with Itamen and Nasadi. As soon as he saw me he rose to excuse himself from the table.

He smiled saying I was beautiful every day and lifted my veil. He chuckled asking if I was re-enacting our wedding day. When I said I was, he smiled more and we shared a passionate kiss as if no one else was around, his arms tight around my waist, mine around his neck.

Then when we moved apart, he took my hand and led me to the table where my mother and brother-in-law were waiting for me. We then had breakfast together and that’s pretty much it for this dream that I wanted to share. I like to think of it as a continuity of the last one that took place at night. But I loved the moment when I was walking to Avad with my veil blowing in the wind and the smile on his face when he saw his Sun-Queen.

I just look at Avad’s throne in the game and think, hey that’s pretty wide, there’s room for two, so I’ll be your queen! These wonderful dreams are helping me recover from some current stress and that recovery takes time, sometimes even months but every day is a step toward healing.
