Screemwriters Guild Unleashed

It’s been a long time since Lordi started a new era. During covid, the band put out a whopping seven albums, and I fell behind in the discography, perhaps from being overwhelmed by the new content and the fact that the last album was a disappointment sans a few songs.

As usual, what I like to do is give detailed thoughts on Lordi’s new outfits, and maybe now is a good time for me to return to their music with their new album and whatever else I want to explore from what I missed.

Kone

Starting with the newest member replacing Amen. I was actually shocked that Amen was leaving because he’s been with the band forever, but there’s a lot that happens behind closed doors. Anyway, Kone is awesome, he’s like a cyborg baring his teeth and also reminds me a lot of the Borgs from Star Trek and I can’t wait to hear more of his contribution to the latest album once I acquire it.

His full story hasn’t been revealed yet, but hopefully, it will be soon.

Hiisi

What I like about Hiisi’s outfit for this era is that it reminds me of Dagon, with the gills on both sides of his head. It’s like he’s Dagon but with dreadlocks and as a sucker for all things Lovecraftian, I approve!

I also like the three eyes above his own, they’re staring at everyone wide open as he plays his bass on stage. Overall, he’s very green and scaly, I love it.

Mana

Mana’s outfit gives me a mixture of different things, he looks very formal for an insect pastor, with the skulls of crows or ravens on his shoulders and the jewelled cross. But there’s also the white top and ebony cloak which is like the Phantom himself from Phantom of the Opera.

Very regal Mana, probably the most regal you’ve been since you joined the band, you went from tatters to a suit, are you trying to steal everyone’s attention? Then again, drummers always deserve more love.

Hella

Our lovely Hella always looks sexy, she’s like a combination, of Monster High and Wednesday; though her Sexorcism outfit leans toward the former more. I really love her tattered skirt the most as I must have always wanted a skirt like that for a long time and then there’s that pink iris for her right eye which really stands out.

There’s no doubt she’ll always be a beautiful Schizo Doll.

Mr. Lordi

No matter what, Mr. Lordi never fails to make me swoon with his new look! I saw an interview with him where he described his new outfit as a horror-Medieval image. I also couldn’t help but notice the little details resemble castle walls all over, which he said was something he was also aiming for, and I am seeing lots of Dracula influence with the layout. My favourite piece of it is the gargoyles on his shoulders.

I don’t know why there is a line across his forehead but ah well, he’s still sexy as always.

I really hope I can see Lordi again soon, it’s been six years since that night and I miss them every day, even if there are times, sometimes even years when I don’t follow them closely but they are still always in my heart.

The new era looks great overall and I must get going on listening to their new music!
