Unexpected Boardwalk Chatter

Now that was an exciting dream, and it should be safe enough to write about on the blog, whether it was romantic or not.

But before I get to that, I was trying not to buy anything from the Steam Winter sale that is supposed to end today. Most of my friends there are just hoarding games while they can. I on the other hand received two games Prodeus and Cat Goes Fishing as gifts from a friend, then I bought some add-ons for Sims and then Cyberpunk 2077 last night, assuming that the sale concludes this morning, but coincidentally, it’s still on.

I’ve been having trouble trying to track down the perfect metal shirt of a certain musician but all I’ve come across is either only one girlie shirt that is too short or one with a badass design but has something I don’t like in the background. Oh, well back to the drawing board.

Anyway, this dream I wonder why it happened and then I realized that next week is Rob Zombie’s birthday and as a new fan, I like to know these things. Yes, he was in this dream, it was rather unexpected, didn’t have anything I was hoping for as a typical fangirl (you know the usual, a smooch here or moonlight stroll there, etc.) but I still enjoyed the direction the dream went.

I was at a theme park, a seasonal one on a pier with a Ferris wheel, swing ride, food and game stands a fancy hotel nearby, etc. I was just there by myself having fun with not a care in the world.

Ferris Wheel GIFs | Tenor

It’s surprisingly difficult to find a decent gif of a Ferris wheel, really? Okay then. Anyway, I rode it and it was much larger than the one above, probably the same size as the one I rode at the Ex many years ago. By the time I exited the ride, I heard someone say hello and that they liked what I was wearing. I’m not sure what I was wearing, to be honest, I never saw my reflection in this dream, but if my brain knows me well enough, then my brain would definitely have made me wear some heavy metal or horror shirt that would have attracted his attention.

He was there on his own and as soon as I recognized him I trembled and managed to thank him for the compliment. I almost wanted to get away like I was assuming he had to be somewhere more important like a show or filming something and I didn’t want to take up too much of his time, so I asked if he was there for the latter. But he said he was taking a day off from that and told me to relax and that I wasn’t being a bother.

Then he asked me my name and what I did for a living, from there I was able to loosen the tension in my body and told him a little about myself without rambling as we started walking down the path past all the game and food stands. I told him some horror films I liked and my favourite songs and he was just listening attentively the whole time.

As we continued to walk through the crowds, some other fans came to chat him up but they never stuck around like I did, then I eventually started to ask him things as well, like any other deep conversation and he was friendly the whole time no matter what I inquired about. He didn’t seem too interested in any of the rides, but that was okay with me. So yeah, the dream was basically us just strolling and chatting the whole time until he said he had to go, but not before letting me take a selfie with him and hoping I’d come to any of the gigs one day!

Not your typical rockstar crush dream eh? Maybe my brain will give me one of those of him in the future!

Well it is almost more realistic because often we see musicians as Gods and get starstruck when we see them up close, but in reality, they are just regular people like you and me. We should be able speak to them the way we do to anyone we just met, it’s okay to get a little excited as long as you don’t lose it completely! Most of the time they’re used to adoring fans though. I mean I don’t want to put words in people’s mouths because I’ve never met Rob Zombie so I don’t know what he’s like in person. Some people who have, have told me different things and this is only a dream.

Most metal musicians I’ve met so far are the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Yeah I hear some of them are assholes but thankfully, I have not experienced that

Alright, time to hit the sack and hope for another good dream.
